NBL Stars to Represent USA, South Sudan and New Zealand
Numerous NBL stars will represent their countries during the upcoming FIBA World Cup Qualifying window.
Along with 11 of the 12 Australian Boomers being NBL players, the league will also have representation in the New Zealand, South Sudanese and American national teams.
The Tall Blacks will play their first game in New Zealand in four years on Thursday night against the Philippines. A sold-out crowd at Aucklandβs EventFinda Stadium are set to create an epic atmosphere for national team, which is headlined by NBL stars.
Corey Webster (Perth Wildcats), Dion Prewster (Melbourne United), Finn Delany (New Zealand Breakers), Hyrum Harris (Adelaide 36ers), Jordan Ngatai (Cairns Taipans), Sam Timmins (New Zealand Breakers), Shea Ili (Melbourne United), Tohi Smith-Milner (South East Melbourne Phoenix) and Tom Vodanovich (New Zealand Breakers) will all play for the Tall Blacks in the qualifier.
South Sudan is preparing to play against Rwanda, Tunisia and Cameroon in their qualifying window.
Taipans duo Bul Kuol and Majok Deng, along with 36ers star Sunday Dech, will represent South Sudan in the qualifiers.
Former Perth import, Michael Frazier II, and former South East Melbourne guard, Xavier Munford, will suit up for a new-look USA team.
America will face Puerto Rico and Cuba in a pair of qualifiers.
